What Are Cut & Create Sheets?

Cut & Create Sheets are my own line of pre-printed, coordinated premium cardstock ephemera — think cute critters and whimsical characters (no florals here!) designed specifically for cardmakers.

Each sheet is printed on premium 100lb cardstock and comes with a black-and-white layout sheet so you know exactly where to place your dies. The result? Beautiful, coordinated die-cut focal images and embellishments in minutes — no stamping, no colouring, no fussy cutting skills required.

And if you CAN fussy cut? Just cut out the shapes — no layout sheet needed, no rules! ✂️

How to Use Your Cut & Create Sheet — Step by Step

Step 1: Meet Your Layout Sheet

Every Cut & Create Sheet has a coordinating black-and-white layout sheet that perfectly replicates the full-colour sheet — and you can even download it free before you buy. Overlay your metal dies onto the pre-drawn guidelines to find the best size fit from your own stash. Know it works before you commit to the full-colour sheet.

Step 2: Use the Layout Sheet to Plan Your Cuts

The black-and-white layout sheet is your planning tool — and it does two jobs. First, use the pre-drawn oval, circle, and ¾" strip die guidelines to find the perfect die match from your own stash. Once you know which dies fit, use the template as a precise placement guide so you never accidentally miscut a beautiful full-colour image. You'll also notice a dotted cut line down the centre — that's your trim guide, showing you exactly where to cut the sheet to fit your die-cut machine bed. Plan it all here first, on the practice copy, before you touch the good stuff.

Step 3: Switch to Your Full-Colour Sheet

Now that you know exactly which dies to use and where they go, switch to your full-colour Cut & Create Sheet. Cut your sheet in half using your paper trimmer right on that centre cut line. Them align your dies just like you did on the layout guide. For some images you can even go slightly smaller than the guideline if that's the look you want.

Step 4: Tape Down The Die

Secure your perfectly placed die with some temporary tape.

Step 5: Run It Through Your Machine

Now you're ready to run it through your die-cut machine. And just like that — a clean, beautiful die-cut focal image. No fussy cutting. No guesswork.

Step 6: Finish Your Card

Here are some fun suggestions! Add a slightly larger circle or shape to mat your focal image for a polished look. Pop it up for dimension, add embellishments for sparkle, and layer your coordinating patterned cardstock for a perfectly matched finished card.
