Handmade Greeting and Notecards
I love to design and make greeting and note cards. It started out as a hobby but I ended up with so many extra cards. Friends purchased from me regularly so I decided to open an online shop. I have 3 card lines with varied price points based on how intricate the design is. I create cards for a variety of occasions and “just because”.
Digital Card Line
Some of my cards are produced digitally. I use CorelDraw on my computer to create backgrounds, focal images, and sentiments. Once I have created my designs, the cards are digitally printed at my favourite local print shop.
Handmade Card Line
The cards in this line are made using a variety of stamping, ink blending techniques, and die cuts. These cards have a fair bit of dimension and often have texture as well.
Hybrid Card Line
My third line of cards is made using a combination of tech and handmade techniques. I create designs with my computer, digitally print out the backgrounds, or focal images and sometimes cut out the images with an electronic cutting machine. These marry up beautifully with the hand made techniques to create special looks!
A Little More About My Cards
Most of the cards in my studio are blank inside so that you can write your own personal message. Regarding the cards that I show stock of more than one, please remember that these are handmade and there may be minor differences between the card you see in the photo and the one you receive. Most of my cards are just a “single makes” because they are a little more intricate and are expressions of my creativity - essentially mini pieces of art. I will sometimes make a few of a particular design so I will show stock if more than one. I make multiples of some designs because they are fun to make or because I want to see the design in a different colour. That said, if you see a card that has Sold Out, please contact me and I’d be happy to remake it.
